Dual Flush
This job should not be attempted if you are not confident, and can result in flooding if not carried out correctly.The valve operated flush mechanism is quite easy to fit, and can take the place of an existing flush appliance with either a handle buttons. The design of this type of equipment is very varied, so you should really follow the makers guidelines for assembly and fitting.To Fit:1). Isolate the water supply and flush away any water in the cistern, as of course you need it to be empty before you start. Earls Court Plumbers can fit dual flush systems in any home.2). Remove the cistern lid and then take out the ball valve, handle and existing flush mechanism. Make sure you clear loose dirt from the cistern. ). 3). Undo the wing nuts from underneath the pan and take out the existing filling valve. An Earls Court Plumber is qualified to work with WC systems.Note: Spread out a dust-sheet for protection over the toilet and then rest the cistern on top.4). Connect the flush cable control to the ball float and then fix to the base of the cistern using the back-nut and grommet that comes included. 5). Set the filter restrictor to function for the water supply either at mains pressure or from a water storage cylinder. Insert the filter restrictor into the threaded tale of the filling valve, and connect the filling valve to the water inlet pipe using the supplied back-nut and washer. Clip the flush controlling cable to the pushbutton and fix the pushbutton tightly with the back-nut.6). Place the system into its final position and re-connect to the WC pan. Reconnect the tap connector that joins the water inlet pipe back to the filling valve.Finally:De-isolate the water supply, and monitor the cistern while it fills, looking for any leaks. Operate the flush a couple of times to prove its correct.
